Housekeeping
by brendyn on Jun.19, 2008, under Random Thoughts
I finally have some time to do some housekeeping on here. It has a little more eye candy and is easier to navigate.
My schedule is also being shifted to allow for frequent posting. There are a few drafts for articles to be posted soon.
I’m grateful that I’ve been blessed with so many awesome opportunities. I wish I could just…list everything.
God is and always will remain to be good.
This may actually just be a few random thoughts strung together in an odd way, but it’s worth typing something.
Challenge your own perception to overcome the parameters of your faith. Act like everything Jesus taught us is true.
It’s 2:30am. I’m tired.
Thanks for reading. I appreciate you.
The Happening & Kung Fu Panda
by brendyn on Jun.18, 2008, under Random Thoughts
Over the weekend, I saw two movies.
Where’s the budget for that? I have no idea.
My favorite was Kung Fu Panda. It’s about a kung fun wannabe panda that discovers he’s the Dragon Warrior. The movie is absolutely hilarious. There were points where I was in tears and I just couldn’t get any air in edge wise. Good laughs, good times.
My least favorite is The Happening. The idea was great, but I don’t think M. Night Shyamalan executed it well. It’d be interesting to hear his actual intention without the marketing mumbo jumbo. The movie is about a natural event that…happens. It’s a cute storyline to say the least. I think M. Night may be trying to do something spectacular again, but it’s just not working for him. He should let someone else handle other roles like…writing? I don’t know…
A movie that causes you to remember it, the characters, the story, the message long after you’ve watched it is a great movie. That’s Kung Fu Panda for me. It was worth the money, worth the time, worth the attention I gave it.
When Kung Fu Panda comes out on DVD, remind me to get it.

Now is time’s reaction to eternity. As far as our understanding can reach, now is eternity.
